The GPS Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association is a school-based organisation made up of parent volunteers, teachers and interested citizens. Our P&C proudly assists with the provision of resources, facilities, and equipment by organising fundraising events throughout the school year that bring our community together.

Some recent examples of our support include:

  • sporting sponsorships and equipment
  • new water stations and bubblers
  • home reader books for all years
  • Chromebook charging stations, and
  • colourful new line markings in the playground

Who We Are

Here's our 2024 Committee, and as you can see, we have vacancies in the role of Treasurer, and in the fundraising team. If you would like to find out more about what these roles involve and the time required to fulfil them, please email us at info@gwandalanpandc.com.au- we'd love to chat!

What we do

Our annual fundraising program includes:

  • Several school community events, raffles, and stalls. Our main ones are centred around Mother’s/Father’s Day and Christmas, and this year we are excited to announce our new fundraising event: a Christmas in July themed Trivia night.
  • Grants that we apply for (from government and community sources) to assist us with specific projects around the school.

How you can help

We welcome and encourage parents, extended family and interested citizens to become a member of our P&C to learn about what’s happening at our School and have your say.

Our current Committee is made up of people with wonderfully varied skills and experience, who volunteer their time to assist with events and fundraising to benefit our school and ultimately our kids’ learning environment.

Not all members hold an official role. Some simply attend our meetings and events when time allows, to give us a helping hand. This could be selling raffle tickets at our Mother’s Day breakfast BBQ, running the Chocolate Wheel at the school disco, or helping kids choose their gift at our Father’s Day stall. Maybe you’ve got a flair for forms and writing and could help us submit grants for funding.

The important thing to know is that members only need to offer what they can (and what their schedule allows). There will be no pressure from us – and we really do appreciate any help that’s offered.

Join us!

The membership fee is 50c per year, payable upon joining.

Simply drop into the office for a Membership Form or download it here and hand it in at school.

School uniforms can be purchased from the Lowes store in Lake Haven Shopping Centre. They are no longer available at school, with the exception of hats ($12) and cullottes ($22).

*Good News* Lowes accepts the Service NSW Back to School vouchers.
